Dear Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase,
First off, let me congratulate you two on being some of the most well-rounded, down-to-earth, and realistic-feeling characters written. I've felt like I could relate to you two since page one. Sure, I'm not a demigod, and I haven't battled monsters, but if we took that aspect out of your lives you would just be two regular kids- and that's awesome.
Secondly, y'all are beautiful. I admit, I ship you two- maybe a bit more than I should, but you fit together so well. However I completely respect your friendship before a romantic relationship. At the age you two met romance was out of the question, and honestly, gross. But I love the fact that you put friendship first, at all costs. Despite your parents' previous disagreements you formed a friendship that is beautiful and one I personally envy.
The way you both care for each other so much just fills my little heart with glee. I can feel Percy's pain when Annabeth is hurt, and I know the struggle of Annabeth's jealousy when Rachel is around.
In conclusion, you two are a beautiful couple and I hope that you are always happy in your fictional realm. Keep fighting Monsters.

A weird kind of revenge
Cold, blue lips slowly sinking down into the water. He watched her go in horror, knowing that any attempt to rescue her would be too late. Her soul was no longer in her body, yet it felt like his own heart was. How cruel had he been, to force her to go to such extremes and take her own life in the icy river? Her hair floated around her as the gentle current moved her away. Soon her lifeless form would reach the open water and dip down to the very bottom where perhaps it would stay for centuries. He knew he should stop it, drag her out so that her family could give her a proper burial and say goodbye, but he was too selfish. His eyes welled with tears, his heart felt punctured with glass, and he fell to his knees in anguish knowing that it was all his fault that she was now dead. Never again would he hold her close, feel her gentle touch, hear her words like hellfire, whipping against his skin when she was angry. Everything that he had loved and hated had been put to rest as her body turned cold. Whether her death was a sweet escape or perhaps the most painful thing she had ever endured, no one would know.
I wrote this a few nights ago when I was upset. It's slightly inspired by Ophelia's death in Hamlet.

My Favorite Disney Princess
Hello! Today I decided I would talk about my favorite Disney princess and my dilemma about Halloween costumes.
So, let's just dig in!
I've pretty much loved Disney Princesses my entire life. My 4th birthday party was Princess themed, and last week I bought myself a shirt with Ariel on it. (I can't tell you how happy all this Ariel stuff is making me!) So, you could say I'm a disgeek. I will often choose to listen to Disney songs rather than what most people my age listen to. A night spent watching a Disney movie and singing along with the songs is a very good night in my opinion! So, who is my favorite princess?

First, and foremost, is Belle. She has always been my favorite, since I was little. She reads, she's french, she has brown hair and brown eyes (Looks like me!), and can we just take a few moments to admire that dress?
...Prettyyyy.
Another thing about Belle is that she wasn't always a Princess. She was just a normal girl hoping for adventure. She would do anything to save her Papa, and she does. She learns to love people for what is inside, not the outside. (Which is good, because even as a human Adam wasn't the most attractive of the bunch.) Her best friends are a bookseller, Sheep, a Clock, Teapot, Cup and Candlestick. She also had a horse, which you have to agree is COOL. She wasn't exactly magic herself, she couldn't just call all the woodland animals out to have a sing-a-long, and she didn't have everything she wanted. Oh Belle, You're so perfect. I am also quite fond of Ariel and Rapunzel, but Belle takes the cake.
-Slightly-off topic story. While I was at Girl Scout Camp this summer I was doing a theater themed camp, so of course all of us girls would break out into song with little-to-no warning. My favorite thing to do was always Disney, so when a few of the girls told me that I sounded just like Belle and that I should totally play Belle in a stage performance one day (which is my dream role), I pretty much started crying. Anna and Izze, if you're reading this, Thank you!!!
Now, I've been trying to decide my Halloween costume for this year. And here are my choices.
1. Kim Possible. This would require getting a red wig, green cargo pants, and making myself some cool gadgets. I would also probably have to con one of my guy friends into being Ron Stoppable, which could prove difficult. ;P
2. Wendy Darling (from Peter Pan). Wendy has always been that cute, loveable girl. And after reading Peter Pan this year I feel that I could easily slip into her proper British, motherly character. This costume would require making my own dress (and figuring out how to stay warm in it!), curling my hair, and knowing that a lot of people would have no idea who I was. (although I s'pose no one would know who KP is either.)
3. Scar (The Lion King). I don't know why Scar has so much appeal. Maybe because he has an AWESOME song?
Mmm, all that creepy, villainous singing... And not to mention, aren't you supposed to be scary on Halloween? So for Scar's costume I would do it in an understated fashion. Heavy eye makeup (With a scar, of course), a messy black wig and dressing in browns and blacks.
So... There's your Disney Fix of the day. What do you think?

The Problem with Ribbon Hair ties
Hello again!
Let's begin by talking about these things:

Ribbon Hair ties. What we all thought was the most brilliant thing ever- until they met me.
Here's a little background, My mom and myself have pretty much the finest hair ever. It's slippery as can be, even when it's "dirty", and even though I have a great deal of hair on my head, the individual strands are suuuuper thin. (I get a lot of compliments from people saying that my hair is "SOOO SOFT!" and "How did you get it so soft?" Baby, I was BORN this way.)
One of the things that makes these ribbon hairties so popular is the claim that "they don't leave that stupid dent in your hair". Ha. Haha. Ahahaha. When you hair is as slippery as mine you have to stretch the poop out of these little hairties just in hopes that they'll stay for a few minutes. No dents? Ah, no. This is pretty dented hair if you ask me.
Second, you see that little tail and knot there? Well, I don't know about you, but when I'm wearing a low ponytail just to keep my locks out of my face while I'm doing a tricky dance number, I don't really want the ends of an elastic poking me in the neck.
Third, Why are these so expensive? I know you can make them yourself, but honestly, $3 for a five-pack? And this is at wal-mart, I'm scared to see the prices elsewhere!
Anyways, that's my opinion. In case you're wondering what type of hairties I do like, I'm quite fond of these;
Goody's Stay Put brand. They're wrapped with rubber, so they don't slip around, even in my hair. They also have an abundance of colors, not just black.

Book Review: Starry Nights by Daisy Whitney
Hello! Today I'm going to be talking about a book I recently read that just came out. Please leave your comments about whether I should do more book reviews or not.
Starry Nights by Daisy Whitney
From the inside flap: "Seventeen-year-old Julien is a romantic—he loves spending his free time at the museum poring over the great works of the Impressionists. But one night, a peach falls out of a Cezanne, Degas ballerinas dance across the floor, and Julien is not hallucinating.
The art is reacting to a curse that trapped a beautiful girl, Clio, in a painting forever. Julien has a chance to free Clio and he can't help but fall in love with her. But love is a curse in its own right. And soon paintings begin to bleed and disappear. Together Julien and Clio must save the world's greatest art . . . at the expense of the greatest love they've ever known."
This book was quite a thrilling read. I finished it in 3 days flat, staying up way past my bedtime with the thought of; "just one more chapter!"
Daisy describes everything in the book with impeccable detail. This book sucks you in to the streets of Paris and right into Julien's shoes. The book has a lot of great aspects. Firstly, Julien is very relatable and "human", if you will, his emotions are mixed just like any teenager. He struggles with his grades and works at the museum giving tours. He has a passion for art, and suddenly that turns into a real love when he meets Clio. A girl trapped in a painting long ago.
There is a lot of romance in this book, at times being a bit ridiculous.
I adore the character Simon, Julien's best friend who is a bit of a show-off. A total goof, but willing to help his friend out of even the weirdest situations.
The author clearly did her research on this book, describing real paintings with immense detail.
I love the whimsical aspect of this, touching on Greek mythology and at times rather similar to Percy Jackson.
Overall I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars, and I would suggest this to ages 14 and up. However there is little to no Vulgarity or anything that would make it inappropriate for younger, it just has a lot of romance and can be a little complicated at times.
Well, there you have it folks, my honest-no spoilers-opinion of Starry Nights!
